Solatube Price Guide

The cost of a Solatube® Daylighting System is determined by the Solatube® size (diameter) you require and the length of tubing required – below is some advice on how to determine these measurements. If you have any questions or need further advice on how to choose a Solatube® Daylighting System please do not hesitate to contact us.

The simplest way to order your Solatube® Daylighting System is to order online. If you are in any doubt about the suitability of your chosen Solatube® please get in touch from our contact page or the number at the top of the screen

Alternatively, ask for a Solatube® at your nearest builders merchant.

What size Solatube do you require?

This will depend mainly on the size of the area you wish to illuminate – below is a guide. For larger areas or long narrow corridors or hallways, Solatube® Daylighting Systems can be used in multiples.

Solatube® 160 DS Daylighting System

At only 250mm in diameter, no other tubular system will deliver as much daylight to your home through such a small aperture.

Ideal for

  • Bathrooms and toilets
  • Hallways and landings
  • Shower rooms and en suites
  • Utilities and cloakrooms

Solatube 290 DS Daylighting System

Measuring 350mm in diameter, the 290 DS delivers even more brilliant daylight and is designed for larger living areas.

Ideal for

  • Kitchens and dining rooms
  • Living rooms
  • Loft conversions
  • Studies
  • Workshops and garages

How much tubing is required?

Each Solatube® system is supplied with a top and bottom tube assembly that together give an install distance (roof to ceiling) of up to 400mm (16"). This is generally sufficient for flat roofs, vaulted ceilings, or very shallow pitch roofs. For greater install distances you will need to purchase additional extension tubes to meet your required install distance. You can calculate your install distance by measuring the internal distance between your roof and ceiling (see distance x in the picture below right). Use the chart below to calculate the total cost of your Solatube® by matching your roof void distance x to the appropriate tube length in the Install distance column.

Please contact us for advice for install distances greater than those shown below
