\"Flashings\" \"Flashings\"

Regardless of the application and whatever the roof type, there will be a Solatube® Daylighting Systems flashing to match.

All flashings are designed to fit quickly and neatly into the roof, ensuring a weather-proof and maintenance free installation.

Various flashings are shown below but if the roof type you are working with is not here or you need more information, call us on 0800 783 2559 to discuss your requirements.

\"\"

Flat roof

This power-coated galvanised-steel flashing is ideal for installation into any flat roof. It can be installed as part of a new or replacement flat roof or retro fitted into an existing roof. This flashing is also ideal for shallow pitched slate or plain tile roofs.

\"\"

Slate

For all slate roofs with a pitch of at least 30 degrees. This flashing features an angled upstand to raise the dome up towards the sky, increasing the light-capture capture capabilities on steeper pitched roofs. The angled upstand also boosts the system performance on north, west and east facing roofs. For shallow pitched slate roofs we suggest using our flat roof flashing.

\"\"

Plain tile

For all roofs using small plain tiles with a pitch of at least 30 degrees.

\"\"

Shallow pitched interlocking tiles

For all roofs using concrete profiled interlocking tiles with a pitch of less than 30 degrees. This flashing features a parallel upstand to keep the dome in line with the angle of the roof.

\"\"

Steeper pitched interlocking tiles

For all roofs using concrete profiled interlocking tiles with a pitch of at least 30 degrees. This flashing features an angled upstand to raise the dome up towards the sky, increasing the light-capture capture capabilities on steeper pitched roofs. The angled upstand also boosts the system performance on north, west and east facing roofs.

\"\"

Curb-mount

Solatube 290 DS and 330 DS only
The curb-mount flashing is ideal for applications where the dome needs to be raised to a height beyond that of a standard flashing. This flashing is ideal for applications such as green roofs where the dome needs to be higher than the surrounding vegetation or on specialist membrane or GRP roofs.

\"\"

Universal – steeper pitch

Solatube 160 DS and 290 DS only
The large malleable aluminium skirt on this flashing makes it suitable for all roofs using concrete profiled interlocking tiles with a pitch of at least 30 degrees. This flashing features an angled upstand to raise the dome up towards the sky, increasing the light-capture capture capabilities on steeper pitched roofs. The angled upstand also boosts the system performance on north, west and east facing roofs.

Universal – shallow pitch

Solatube 160 DS and 290 DS only
The large malleable aluminium skirt on this flashing makes it suitable for all roofs using concrete profiled interlocking tiles with a pitch of less than 30 degrees. This flashing features a parallel upstand to keep the dome in line with the angle of the roof.
