An integral LED electric light kit is available for both the Solatube® 160 DS Daylighting System and the Solatube® 290 DS Daylighting System.

It offers the convenience of a switched electric light for night time use and reduces the need for two separate ceiling fixtures, leaving you with a neat, uncluttered ceiling. The LED lamp has a lifespan 40 times greater than incandescent and 6 times greater than the current CFL bulbs offered in the market today (50,000 hours lamp life). The unit is completely safe and is Mercury-free, unlike CFL products. The unit and its technology provide no glass bulbs to break or filaments to burn out and are cool to the touch.
